Meet Nanette Abuhoff Jacobson
Where do you source your investment ideas?
My views are based on my own independent research. I also draw on Wellington Management’s extensive body of research, and I regularly speak with our multi-asset strategists, portfolio managers and macro-analysts, all of whom help me form my investment opinions.
Are you offering Wellington Management’s house view?
No, my views are always my own and do not represent a firm-wide view. In fact, the firm does not offer a house view, and the perspectives of our investment professionals often vary. Wellington Management believes that a strong culture of collaboration across asset classes and investment disciplines helps generate highly informed portfolio ideas for our clients. We have no chief investment officer, and diversity of thought is encouraged as we feel it strengthens our investment discussions and decisions.
How often will you share your views?
I will articulate my multi-asset outlook each quarter. I will also highlight my insights on individual themes or sectors and their investment implications every month.
Are your views reflected in clients’ portfolio positioning?
Because of the rich diversity of views at Wellington Management, my thinking may or may not concur with that of our portfolio managers, so the positioning of their portfolios may differ from my views.
